What is Vedic astrology?
With Vedic astrology, your birth chart is the starting point. Each of us is born at a certain place, day and time. The moment of your birth is connected to the position of the Moon, the Sun, the planets and the stars. This constellation forms your birth chart and, in addition to insight into your personality, also provides insight into love and relationships, work and finances, health and vitality (based on Ayurveda), family, karma (built up in this and past lives), your dharma (life purpose) and opportunities and challenges.
Vedic astrology shines light on your past, present and future. You can therefore also see your birth chart as a road map. It gives you direction when you are searching for answers or facing an important decision and it can help you better deal with changes in your life, stay balanced and be in harmony with life itself.
Difference between Vedic and Western astrology
The main difference between Vedic and Western astrology is the zodiac. Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac based on fixed, visible positions of the stars. Western astrology is based on the tropical zodiac, which is based on the changing position of the sun (the vernal equinox). This creates a difference of 23 degrees between the two zodiacs.
What this means is that Western astrology takes the vernal equinox (March 21) as the start of the zodiac. Vedic astrology assumes that the vernal equinox on the earth’s orbit shifts every year. As a result, the Sun is in Aries on March 21 from Western astrology and at the beginning of Pisces from Vedic astrology.
Another difference is that your zodiac sign from Western astrology is determined by the position of the Sun. In Vedic astrology, your zodiac sign is determined by your Ascendant (the sign that rose on the eastern horizon when you were born).

A consultation takes approximately 75 minutes and takes place online via Zoom.
Because you will receive a lot of information during the consultation, I will record the consultation for you. After the consultation you will receive the audio recording so that you can listen back to the consultation later.
